Happy Mani Monday! This year I’ll be recapping each week’s mani here on the blog with a roundup on the last Monday of every month… That’s the plan, anyway. First up, my five manicures from January. Each of these manicures starts with OPI Nail Envy base coat and is topped with HK Glisten & Glow top coat.
I recently had the pleasure of doing a mani swap with the very talented @judyrox on Instagram. She re-created my Kate Spade inspired toucan so I figured that would be the perfect opportunity to share with you guys one of my favorite pre-blog manis! I was inspired by this Kate Spade bag and knew I had to wear it on my nails as soon as I saw it:
I used OPI “My Vampire Is Buff” for the base with OPI “Alpine Snow” for the polka dots. The toucan was done in OPI “Black Onyx” and the color details were all done in acrylic paint. I used Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat to top it off! This is one of my favorite manis and I love it even more because OPI featured it on their Instagram page!
Onto the new mani… I chose this design by @judyrox
on Instagram and absolutely love how it turned out! I used Cult Cosmetics
“Laguna” as the base and accented with Bri
“Midnight”. The floral design was all done with black and white acrylic paint and topped with Glisten & Glow
HK Girl topcoat.
So what do you guys think? Do you want to see more #tbt posts here? Let me know!
